Basic Qualifications


  - Have full working rights for Thailand.
  - Minimum 3 years of work experience in a freight forwarding company.
  - In addition to fluent Thai communication skills, those with good English or Chinese skills is a plus.
  - Possess problem-solving skills and quick thinking ability.
  - Good teamwork spirit and able to work under pressure.

  - Highly detail-oriented and responsible. 

Business Competencies and Qualifications


  - Familiar with Incoterms such as EXW, FOB, CIF, DDU, etc.
  - Understanding of trade privileges and benefits such as FTA, Freezone, BOI, etc.
  - High attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility.
  - Problem-solving skills and quick thinking.
  - Good team player and able to work under pressure.
  - Experience in handling Form C/O, D, E, AI, MSDS / DG, Animal and Plant Quarantine Certificate, etc.
  - Experience in handling export-related government procedures (e.g. Department of Agriculture, FDA, DFT, TISI ...) is a plus.

  - Familiar with local transport fleets and related transportation prices at various ports in Thailand. 

 

Import/Export Operations / documentation


  - Preparatory work before business commencement includes customer consultation and requirement confirmation, such as: port of loading/port of destination, cargo name/quantity/weight/volume, packaging type, mode of transport (sea/air/rail), trade terms, and special requirements.
  - Risk assessment: Determine the nature of the goods (e.g., whether they involve dangerous goods MSDS, fumigation requirements for wooden packaging), and confirm whether special documents such as commodity inspection and certificate of origin (CO) are required.
  - Provide customers with cost estimates (sea/air/land freight, THC, document fees, insurance, customs clearance fees, etc.) and specify the payment method (T/T prepayment/collection, letter of credit L/C).
  - Booking process: Submit a booking request to the shipping company or airline, obtain a booking confirmation (S/O), and verify the sailing schedule, container type (20GP/40HQ), and cut-off time (usually 24 hours before loading).
  - Cargo consolidation and packing: arranging trucking, pickup/delivery, packing and securing.
  - Import and export customs declaration and document processing:
    ** Document preparation: such as organizing commercial invoices, packing lists, contracts, customs declaration authorization letters, and assisting clients in obtaining import and export licenses, etc.
    ** Customs clearance cooperation: such as declaring cargo information to customs, handling inspections, and obtaining the "Import and Export Goods Clearance Certificate".
    ** Document preparation and review: Verify the product name, quantity, port of shipment/port of destination in the draft bill of lading (B/L), and confirm the method of issuance of telex release or original bill of lading.
    ** Other documents: Certificate of origin, insurance policy (if CIF terms require all risks insurance).
  - Cost verification and settlement: Summarize ocean freight, customs clearance fees, THC (terminal handling charges), insurance premiums, etc., and issue invoices after verifying with the customer.
  - Exception handling and customer maintenance: claims and document replacement, customer files.
 

Those who possess the following abilities will be assigned as full-time customs brokers/clearants


  - 3+ years’ experience in Customs Brokerage / Clearance.
  - Customs Specialist License (mandatory).
  - Strong knowledge of customs clearance, classification, and harmonisation codes.
